Stopped by on a whim as we knew it would be miles before we would find a lunch spot, as we got on our way for a long trek home (380+/- miles). This little spot was a good surprise to our day.
First off let's say that this place is very clean, orderly, and could handle small to large groups of people. There's even a drive through window to pick up your order (so I suppose call ahead is an option). The server / waitress was excellent (johnny on the spot) at her job. She was there to check on us, make suggestions, and ensure all was well.
The salad bar had a good choice of offerings. There was a wide variety of sodas, but I can't remember the beer options (I'm not a beer drinker). There was a wine offering ... but I am (almost admittedly) a wine snob so no wine for me. I was just as please with having bottomless glasses of good iced tea.
The food was good, it was served hot, and was quick to the table. My husband had the fried shrimp poboy, and it was plentiful. None of that freeze dried rehydrated shrimp on the sandwich. I had the catfish something, and it was good. The only suggestion I have on this plate is to offer the sauce on the side, as there was PLENTIFUL sauce on top of the fish.
I saw a group order the burgers, and when the server passed by I saw the burger plates were piled high. When we come back through we'll have to try that out. -

Just an 11 min drive off 49 to the cute little cafe. Friendly service and delicious seafood pasta with yummy fried shrimp on top. I loved the salad bar and cold beer too.

Stopped in for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was packed, but service was quick and friendly.
Husband got grilled catfish topped with etouffee and he said it was well seasoned.
I had the Seafood Chopper - baked potatoes topped with a mix of crawfish, shrimp, crab in a cream sauce. It was delicious!
